For nearly three decades of Decembers, The National In Choir has heralded the holidays in hospital hallways under direction of co-conductors & co-founders Deborah Pearl & Rosemary Butler, and like an extended family, the corridor carolers vow to reunite whenever occasion arises, such as this past President's Day when a pared-down 25-member configuration gathered with the Gallaghers to cut 4 sides for Oasis’ latest album, Dig Out Your Soul, which streets on Tues, Oct 7 with a CD/DVD edition available at AMAZON.

Several longstanding National In Choir members who'd participated in said Oasis session will swap solo sets at the Talking Stick Coffee Lounge in Venice on Saturday, October 11th to observe breast cancer awareness month and raise a collection for WeSpark, a home-like cancer support center founded by Bosom Buddies actor Wendie Jo Sperber [1958-2005], when Grassroots Acoustica #16: Songs Of Joy & Peace Edition warmly welcomes first-time appearances by Jeff Daniels, Royce Nelson, & Gary Stockdale as well as returning guests Lois Blaisch, Karen Tobin, Severin Browne, Rosemary Butler, artist-in-rep Jane Bolduc, artist-in-residence Byron Pfeifer, and special guest Deborah Pearl's fourth visit on a series whose 15 monthly installments have raised $8,775 in donations for non-profit organizations serving metropolitan Los Angeles.

The 3-hour event starts at 7 p.m. and is free & open to the public. 100% of any voluntary donations into collection plates will benefit WeSpark.

Anyone unable to attend but wanting to learn more about WeSpark & its programs or information regarding how to make a secure donation, please visit www.wespark.org.
